Pique Russe is the name of the fields, the name of the producer and the name of this wonderful wine.  Made in small quantities using traditional methods Pique Russe has a strong following and is growing in reputation, particularly in the Parisian restaurants where most of the production ends up.  A fine, fruity wine that can be drunk now or in years to come and is recommended for those you care for the most! See the partner notes for information on the 2014 and 2015 harvests and their implication on both Le Temps Volé and its sister wine Pique Russe.

My favourite red at the recent wine tasting. Had more body and depth of flavour than the other wines I tasted.

Both my wife and I independently concluded that this was the best of the red wines that we tasted at the recent wine tasting evening hosted by BFW. Although I usually prefer “unoaked” reds the “oakiness” was not overpowering and gave a great depth to the flavour. A wine for a special meal.

Excellent wine full of fruit and flavour. The price reflects the wine’s quality.
