Etoile Blanche 2014


Made from one of the traditional grapes of the region with some sauvignon added to reinforce the freshness of the palate this is good example of a white wine from the Gascony region.  A good aperitif, excellent for kir that conveys a strong and fruit filled flavour.

Tasting Notes: Pale in colour with a nose of citrus fruits and spring flowers it has a fresh almost sharp palate which is full of fruit and is maintained through to the finish.
Classification: IGP Côtes de Gascogne
Grape: Gros Manseng 50% Sauvignon Blanc 50%
Strength: 12.5%
Serve at: Chilled 8°C
Serve with: Aperitif, grilled fish
Soil: Gravelly limestone and clay
Yield: 60 hectolitres/hectare
Cultivation: Mechanically cultivated with manual harvesting.
Vinification: Mechanically pressed then vinified in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks held at low temperature for slow fermentation.
